Individual Therapy

The most common mental health complaints I see include:

Depression – feeling down, loss of interest, low motivation/drive, procrastinating, don’t want to get out of bed, just going through the motions.

Anxiety – constant worry, panic attacks, fearful, wondering when the next shoe will drop, afraid of something in particular (such as driving over bridges, spiders, heights, flying), reliving a past trauma through nightmares or flashbacks.

Stress – whether due to work or relationship issues at home, feeling caught in the middle, have little time to yourself, feeling off-balance.

Relationships – not sure if you want to stay in your current romantic relationship? Having issues with your parents, in-laws, siblings, friends, neighbors, co-workers? Need some help with communicating more assertively?

Postpartum adjustment/depression/anxiety – taking on the new role of mother, along with the hormonal changes can take its toll. Trying to figure out how to balance the things that are important to you, including communicating more effectively with those around you.

Chronic illness – adjusting to a new diagnosis, the fears associated with it, creating new habits, communicating with Drs, finding a sense of acceptance and meaning.

Sexual problems – problems of desire, arousal, orgasm, sexual pain. Is your partner more sexual than you or vice versa? Has it been a long time, maybe even years, since you and your partner have been intimate? Do you want to resume a closer connection through touch? Are you ejaculating too quickly? Finding it hard to reach orgasm? Are you having erectile problems that have little to do with your physical health?

Goal setting – are you having trouble making changes or following through, such as diet, exercise, or project completion?

Together, we would work to alleviate the symptoms and

move you closer to the life you most want to live.
